The Managing Director of Strategy Consulting Limited, John Courtney has been
a Company Director for over 20 years, including many years as Chairman or
Managing Director in his own businesses which have ranged from sporting
goods to agricultural chemicals. he has been a Non Executive Director for
several SME's.
John has trained at The Academy of Business Strategy, and is an associate of
the Institute of Management Consultancy, and a member of the Institute of
Directors. He is also a visiting lecturer on the MBA course at Cranfield
University School of Management. John has run training seminars at board
level on corporate strategy and made presentations to both large and small
groups on funding strategies. He brings a wealth of experience, particularly
in corporate strategy, funding, business planning, internet strategy and
marketing strategy.
John is an approachable, practical, down to earth consultant comfortable in
the board room of plc's as well as helping with implementation with smaller
companies.
KATHRYN DAWSON BSc. (Hons)., M.B.A.
Kathryn Dawson is the company's General Manager, and she is also an experienced and multi-skilled consultant in her own right. Prior to Strategy Consulting, Kath was head of Strategic Business Analysis and International Client Administration with a multinational corporation and operated in both the UK and USA.
Kath is mainly responsible for client, supplier and associate relationships. Her passion is to deliver effective Search Engine Optimisation for clients.
STEPHANIE DICKSON
Stephanie's talent is in Sales and Marketing Management. Her career spans almost 20 years and has been split between these two sectors, initially in Media and then in Freight Forwarding. Stephanie also spent 8 years assisting in the rebuilding of the largest Kuwaiti
Newspaper's Commercial Press, she then worked in southern California working in Video
Production and then in Freight Forwarding.
Stephanie assists our clients by heightening their awareness of the various funding and strategic tools that we work with to ensure that they have the optimum amount of options available in order to progress their business.
DAVID
RICH F.C.P.I.L, F.I.L.E.X.
David has helped many businesses obtain funding via the Small Firm’s Loan Guarantee Scheme and is an expert at preparing business plans and forecasts for such applications, particularly in software and IT. His wide expertise and experience are also used to help and advise small businesses on how to grow and thrive in today’s competitive marketplace. He is also a business advisor with his activities centred
mainly on the software sector.
David is a former lawyer with over 20 years in claims related professions, the
majority of which was spent with the UK’s leading personal injury law firm. He
has for many years regularly written articles on IT and business for various
industry journals.
ANDREW MYALL
Andrew has worked in finance for over 10 years and has succeeded in raising many different kinds of funding for small and medium sized businesses. Having developed over 100 business and financial plans from Florist to International Telecoms Company Andrew's methods and contact base has enabled him to become and accomplished financier.
Andrew has also started several business ventures including Telecoms Infrastructure, Offshore Hedge Funds, Jewellery importers, Investment land and property thus making his knowledge base flexible and wide spread.
Andrew is 40 years old (life begins) and married with three girls all under 9 years of age.
JAN RAKOWICZ - MBA
Jan has been a management consultant for the past 15 years, interspersed with a number of interim general management assignments. He has worked for a wide range of organizations including Boston Consulting Group, Societe Generale, a supplier of furniture to IKEA, a corporate finance boutique, the European Patent Office and primary healthcare.
Jan has worked in Western and Central Europe and speaks fluent English, Polish, French and German. His special interests are organisation strategy, implementation of change, and aligning the purpose of the organisation with that of its stakeholders.
IAN MALTBY A.C.I.B.
Ian rose through the ranks of a major bank and following several managerial roles in branches, retail and corporate relationship management, his long career culminated in an executive position on the lending side. For 5 years he has been a highly professional and practical commercial finance and business consultant using his experience to assist on a wide range of funding or related business matters.
Ian particularly enjoys finding solutions to problems, and specialisms include writing business plans, making presentations to banks, conducting negotiations or mediating with lenders, plus his passion for the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme. Ian has many connections, is an accredited consultant to Business Link and a member of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers.
ANN GOODWIN, Chartered Marketer, FCIM, DipM
Ann began her long and varied marketing career with household names such as Fisons, RS Components and Bostik. Whilst working for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, Ann developed and implemented a strategy to communicate the health and safety message both in the UK and overseas to various safety critical industries including construction, rail, oil and healthcare.
Her last position as an employee was as Marketing Director for Catalis Rail Training, an international supplier of training and development services to the rail industry, where Ann had responsibility to develop a management portfolio of services for the newly privatised industry. Clients included Railtrack, Virgin Trains, Amec, Balfour, Alstom and Kier.
Today, Ann advises on strategic marketing direction to meet clients’ business objectives. In addition, Ann overseas the implementation of marketing plans to ensure the various tactical aspects are adopted across the breadth of the marketing mix. Despite holding senior positions, Ann has never lost the ability to 'roll up her sleeves' and deliver cost-effective, practical solutions that work.
In recent years, she has supported clients at both a strategic and tactical level across a number of industries including Construction, NHS and Healthcare, Rail, FMCG, Leisure and IT.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer, Ann has lectured for the professional CIM exams and delivered numerous training courses on marketing.
Outside of work, Ann is an avid follower and member of Leicester Tigers and England rugby supporters clubs.
RAY CLANCY
Ray is a PR specialist and has 20 years experience in Fleet Street working for the Press Association, The Times, The Daily Telegraph and the Mail on Sunday. She is a regular contributor to The Sun, Sunday Express and Family Circle magazine. She specialises in tailor-made articles that give clients control over what appears in publications and work with photographers and marketing specialists. Ray also provides media awareness seminars. She is a mentor for the Prince's Trust.
ANTHONY GREENMAN A.C.I.B., M.C.M.I.
Tony is a former banker who worked at senior levels for Barclays for 30 years before becoming a consultant to use his vast experience for corporate clients. Tony has advised business people on how to set up a business, borrow from a bank, use financial information as a tool for success and, when it has all gone wrong, get the bank and customer together to negotiate a settlement.
An expert on the Government Small Firms Loan Guarantee scheme, he has also helped companies to create a simple business plan that places objectives in an order for action.
DINAH TOBIAS
Dinah understands the challenges of both global corporate and small business
environments, with over 15 years of marketing and business development
experience. Her background includes 5 years with major IT services organisation,
LogicaCMG, where she was responsible for global marketing development. Prior to
this, she worked in consultancy firms and a large publishing and conference
company, driving both the marketing strategy and delivering on the client and
product development side.
Her expertise spans from developing and analysing business plans and marketing
strategies, to helping organisations review their account management planning.
She has worked on a number of rebranding and corporate positioning programmes
and has taken numerous new products and propositions to market. She specialises
in M&A integration and change management projects from a marketing and
communications perspective, having worked on one global merger and several
acquisitions across three continents. She is a marketing generalist with a
commercial and business development approach, able to tackle projects from both
the strategic and tactical aspects.
Dinah is fluent in French and has worked on projects all over the world,
applying her knowledge of different cultures to business practice. As a

Elizabeth is a highly skilled consultant in
mind-body medicine and a personal coach. She works in both Australia
and U.K. She has had over 10 years experience in developing and
delivering life skills and return to work programmes. She has trained
in the fields of meditation, mind-body medicine and psychotherapy. She
integrates strategies to access intellectual, emotional and spiritual
intelligence in her work. Her expertise is in helping individuals and
groups achieve change and growth through meditation, visioning,

Since 2005 David has worked as a management consultant specialising in sales strategy, operations and execution.
